Other Highlights:
-
I value integrity, authenticity, purpose, passion, and adventure!
-
Thinking is my hobby. I love questions! I think about my feelings, feel my thoughts, and have always naturally helped others do the same. This is why I became a coach!
-
Raised an American diplomat's daughter, I moved every few years, spending half my upbringing overseas and the other half outside Washington, DC. After 8 major moves, 10 schools, and 20+ houses before college, I understand transition! Since college, the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, Oregon, and Washington) has been my home.
-
Attending University of Oregon to receive my Bachelor of Arts (1997), I am a very proud Oregon Duck!
-
My Master of Arts is in Pastoral Care to Women from Western Seminary (2007). Combining my seminary training and administrative skills, I have developed, launched, and overseen two women's ministry teams in church contexts.
-
Professionally (before kids), my administrative skills were put to good use managing offices in church, non-profit, and seminary settings. Primary responsibilities included administering an extensive grant, event planning, budgeting, calendaring, publication design, and restructuring office systems for simplicity and efficiency. Sorting and organizing…also a hobby.
-
With 15 years of experience as a Chaplain / Pastor's Wife, I have had a front row seat to watch God work out His beautiful redemption story in people's lives. I have witnessed His faithful acts of love and grace and joined Him to come alongside countless individuals striving to align God's principles with their daily lives.
-
Launching a thriving church plant (a second campus to our church home), alongside my husband and an amazing team, has been our most thrilling and scariest roller coaster ride of ministry.
-
My greatest accomplishment is a successful marriage that almost didn't make it after our third year. I'm thankful God intervened, and we didn't give up. Marriage is hard. And worth every ounce of effort motivated by love! Joy has come from coaching couples toward a thriving marriage.
-
I aspire to be a better mom every day. The job is rewarding and hard. My pleasure reading includes picture books. I resolve conflicts over the injustices of unshared toys, unequal portions of (disgusting) vegetables, and who gets to be first. [Oh, the fairness... and Mom says, "Sometimes, life's not fair!"] I am the homework police. Most messes I clean, I did not make. I mend hearts that hurt from unkind words. I teach forgiveness. Motherhood pays in love, hugs, and beautiful artwork displayed on the fridge. My heart is full.
-
I love puzzles. Snickers bars are my favorite. I would travel the world with my family, if time and money were unlimited.
-
I am a recovering perfectionist acquainted with failure. God has grace enough for me (and YOU too!).
-
My Certificate in Transformational Coaching is in progress from Western Seminary.
