Transformational Coach

People know me as Susan Donohue.

The love of my life has valued me as his  wife   for nearly 25 years.

Three incredible young people earned me the honored title of Mom, starting seventeen years ago.

A few call me  daughter  or  sister.  Many call me pastor's wife.

Countless dear ones entrust me with the cherished role of  friend.

God defines me as  His beloved child.

You can know me as  Coach - a professional question-asker, compassionate listener, connection-maker, deep thinker, trustworthy guide, encourager, supporter, and cheerleader invested in helping YOU actualize YOUR dreams.

Educational Background

  • University of Oregon, Bachelor of Arts (1997). Go Ducks!

  • Western Seminary, Master of Arts is in Pastoral Care to Women (2007)

  • Western Seminary, Certification in Transformational Coaching (2019)

Professional & Ministry Background

  • My administrative skills were well used managing offices in church, non-profit, and seminary settings. Responsibilities that energized me involved administering an extensive grant, event planning, publication design, and restructuring office systems for simplicity and efficiency. Sorting and organizing is a hobby.

  • With 20 years of experience as a Chaplain / Pastor's Wife, I have had a front row seat to watch God work out His beautiful redemption story in people's lives. I have witnessed His faithful acts of love and grace, and joined Him, to come alongside countless individuals striving to align God's principles with their daily lives.

  • Combining my seminary training and administrative skills, I have developed, launched, and overseen two women's ministry teams in church contexts.

  • Launching a thriving church plant, alongside my husband and an amazing team, has been our most thrilling and scariest roller coaster ride of ministry.

Personal Life

  • I value integrity, authenticity, purpose, passion, and adventure!

  • Thinking is my hobby. I love questions! I think about my feelings, feel my thoughts, and have always naturally helped others do the same. This is why I became a coach!

  • Raised an American diplomat's daughter, I moved every few years, spending half my upbringing overseas and half living near Washington, DC. After 8 major moves, 10 schools, and 20+ houses before college, I understand transition! Since college, the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, Oregon, and Washington) has been my home.

  • My greatest accomplishment is a successful marriage that almost didn't make it after our third year. I'm thankful God intervened, and we didn't give up. Marriage is hard. And worth every ounce of effort motivated by love! Joy has come from coaching couples toward a thriving marriage.

  • I aspire to be a better mom every day. The job is rewarding and hard. My pleasure reading includes picture books. I resolve conflicts over the injustices of unshared toys, unequal portions of (disgusting) vegetables, and who gets to be first. [Oh, the fairness... and Mom says, "Sometimes, life's not fair!"] I am the homework police. Most messes I clean, I did not make. I mend hearts that hurt from unkind words. I teach forgiveness. Motherhood pays in love, hugs, and beautiful artwork displayed on the fridge. My heart is full.

  • I love puzzles. Snickers bars are my favorite. I would travel the world with my family, if time and money were unlimited.

  • I am a recovering perfectionist acquainted with failure. God has grace enough for me (and YOU too!).

Enough about me...
